Job Title: Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist
The ideal candidate will be a vital member of our patient care team, providing exceptional care to patients and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires the delivery of one-on-one patient care while ensuring that every patient is treated with quality clinical care and receives an excellent patient experience from welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Radiologic Technologist Duties:
* Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions, and assisting them in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
* Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during the x-ray exam.
* Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
* Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
* Maintain all radiologic equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
* Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
* Medical Assistant Duties:
* Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
* Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing, such as vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing (in accordance with state regulations).
* Assist providers during examination and treatment.
* Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician and triaging emergent patients as needed.
* Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by treating clinician.
* Dispense medications and DME as ordered by treating clinician in accordance with state regulations.
* Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center.
* Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
* Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Education Level:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Certification:
* Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
* Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
* Job-Related Experience:
* Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
* Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
This position offers a competitive compensation rate in the state range of $27.84 to $36.19 hourly, depending on job-related factors.
