We are seeking a creative and strategic Marketing Coordinator to join the Communications & Marketing Section of a Canberra based Cultural Institution. In this role, you will play a crucial role in promoting the Institution's facilities, exhibitions and events to diverse audiences, aligning with the strategic objectives and vision.
This is a non-ongoing contract through to the end of January 2025. Canberra location with flexible working conditions, including flexibility to work from home part of the week. Salary negotiable within the APS 5 salary band, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist to develop, execute, and assess strategic marketing campaigns for various programs and activities, including media planning, creative development, material production, and stakeholder coordination
* Assist to deliver and evaluate digital marketing initiatives, including paid social media advertising and electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns
* Develop and maintain databases using diverse software tools, providing administrative and research support, and assisting with budget processes
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise marketing strategies and outcomes
* Support the implementation of comprehensive communications and marketing strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in creating and executing marketing plans across traditional and digital media channels
* Excellent communication skills for developing audience-specific messaging and content
* Experience in managing print production, including supplier coordination, quoting, and meeting deadlines
* Strong organisational skills for budget tracking, project prioritisation, and accurate work under pressure
* Effective stakeholder management skills for interpreting project briefs and obtaining approvals.
* Australian citizenship
