We are seeking a Team Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of Aristocrat's Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) in Australia (AU).
This role involves overseeing the local GIS team and ensuring the stable operation and delivery of IT infrastructure and critical business applications in AU.
Key responsibilities include maintaining network and server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems, as well as resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
The Team Lead will take direction from the Engineering Manager and work closely with Operations Managers in India and the US.
What You'll Do Strategy & Planning: Assist in planning and deploying infrastructure security measures.
Collaborate with the IT Engineering Manager to develop IT strategies.
Research and recommend products, services, protocols, and standards for infrastructure procurement and development.
Manage IT vendor and third-party contracts and share responsibility for budget management.
Operational Management: Lead and guide the IT operations team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
Manage incident resolution and oversee the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and cloud environments.
Analyze problems and trends to reduce incidents and improve performance.
Coordinate software and hardware changes deployment.
Ensure team training and manage production systems availability, performance, capacity, and operational costs.
Implement and maintain infrastructure administration and project management policies and procedures.
Handle escalation and incident management, IT security, and risk management.
Provide leadership during production outages to minimize business impact.
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce OHS regulations.
Demonstrate OHS practices and proactive approach.
Participate in Aristocrat Due Diligence framework.
Ensure zero compliance breaches.
What We're Looking For University degree or college diploma in computer technology, information systems, or business information systems.
Certification such as Microsoft Certified Engineer (MSCE/MCITP) or equivalent experience.
Advanced technical training (CCNA, A+, N+, Security preferred).
10+ years of relevant experience managing teams in large enterprise environments and complex networks.
Key Competencies: Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of networks, Windows servers, virtualization, and high-availability technologies.
Knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards (e.g., Dell Networks, MPLS, IP/VPN, Windows Server/Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, SharePoint, Video Conferencing).
Infrastructure management tools and evaluation principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical architecture skills.
Ability to research emerging technologies and trends.
Management Skills: Proven leadership in team development, motivation, and project delivery.
Project planning and management.
Effective communication with technology professionals.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language and prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
