Full-time 45 hrs/wk | Wage: Salary | Closes 2024-11-29Job DescriptionThe Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising a wide range of construction projects. The Project Coordinator will manage projects within the department under the direction of the Project Manager. They will help organize and oversee planned construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner, within schedule, ensuring each project meets the required GP%.The ideal candidate should have experience working with construction supervisors and workers, be able to multi-task, have great organizational skills, and possess an analytical mind.A good understanding of civil construction and project documents including blueprints, elevations, specifications, and soils reports would be considered an asset in this position.The Project Coordinator must be a team player who is willing to positively contribute at all levels to assist in achieving the vision and mission of the company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork alongside the Project Manager to collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.Coordinate and assist with scheduling with clients, subcontractors, and company staff.Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.Assist with determining needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.Assist with acquiring equipment and materials and monitor stock levels.Assist in hiring subcontractors and allocating responsibilities.Supervise the work of foremen, laborers, etc., and provide guidance when needed.Assist in evaluating progress and prepare detailed reports.
