Alfred Health - Occupational Therapy Services operates across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals, with clinical services aligned to Alfred Health strategic goals and operational performance targets.

The Position Summary
This is a subacute role based at Caulfield hospital, initially commencing in Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilition and Home Based services.
11. Alfred Health's ABI Rehabilitation Unit provides services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hypoxic brain injuries and other causes of non-progressive brain injury.
12. Better@Home is a contemporary and growing inpatient bed substitution model, providing inpatient-level multi-disciplinary assessment and evidence based rehabilitation in the patients' home environment.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, and skilled occupational therapists to provide high quality assessment and management of clients across the Inpatient ABI Rehabilitation unit and the Better@Home program. In this role, you will contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient care. Along with the clinical responsibilities in this role, you will provide supervision to OT staff and students, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities within the Occupational Therapy Service. Alfred Health’s Occupational Therapy Service provides you with access to regular clinical supervision, opportunities for continued professional development and being part of a friendly and supportive team.
Skills and Experience Required
13. A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in occupational therapy
14. Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and eligibility for OTA membership
15. Clinical experience and knowledge of client-centred, occupation-based practice for client with acquired brain injury
16. Demonstrated skills in both cognitive and physical assessment and intervention
17. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality rehabilitation
18. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality rehabilitation within a patient-centred, goal-directed framework
19. Experience in supervision of junior staff and students is highly desirable
20. Current Victorian Driver’s license
