About the Role
Based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, this full-time leadership role reports to the Manager of Health & Community Safety. You'll manage daily ranger operations, lead a motivated team, and ensure compliance with local laws and community standards.
Key responsibilities:
o Lead and supervise Ranger and Admin staff
o Oversee operations of the animal management facility
o Respond to public enquiries and community complaints
o Prepare budgets and manage team resources
o Review and maintain procedures, reporting, and investigations
o Provide advice and enforce compliance with local laws and legislation
What You’ll Bring
o 5+ years of ranger services experience
o Leadership experience in regulatory or law enforcement settings
o Experience with budget management and local government operations
o Strong animal handling and conflict-resolution skills
o ROCS (Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills) or similar
o Firearms handling experience and current Corporate Firearm Licence
o Senior First Aid certification
o Current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
o National Police Clearance
