The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for providing useful, credible, high quality and timely commercial, procurement, probity, and governance advice and assistance to enable DEECA to achieve its objectives. The role requires strong proactive capabilities to provide a high level of customer service including timely responses and pragmatic, solutions focused advice. There is a requirement for the Procurement Coordinator to assist in building staff procurement capability through support and guidance, staff inductions and other appropriate training. A demonstrated thorough knowledge of financial management and records management systems, procurement tools, policies and procedures are also required. The role is also responsible for advising staff in relation to breaches of DEECA procurement policies and deal with breaches according to relevant DEECA and VGPB procedures.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/QualificationsDemonstrated expertise and knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, including demonstrated capacity to understand and apply the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines.Demonstrated skill and experience in maintaining organisational procurement and purchasing processes within a public sector environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Understands and applies advanced computer skills to complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, or database functions.Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to perform data entry and review of documentation with a high level of accuracy.There are 2 x fixed term positions available until 31 December 2025.
