The Role
Some of your duties may include:
1. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and reports for residential developments.
2. Analyse project documents, including blueprints and specifications, to determine requirements.
3. Assess and manage project risks to ensure financial viability.
4. Procure and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
5. Monitor costs during construction to keep projects on budget.
6. Provide cost comparisons, identify cost-saving opportunities, and advise on project feasibility.
7. Provide detailed valuations and manage final accounts.
8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
The Criteria
1. Experience: 2-5 years of quantity surveyor or estimating experience, ideally in residential construction.
2. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3. Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
4. Personal Attributes: A courageous mindset, values driven and a passion for delivering change.
