Role in Our Future
We seek a Postdoctoral Researcher for a 12-month Fixed-Term, Full-Time position in collaboration between the Beavis Lab of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre & Waitman lab at University of Western Australia.
The successful candidate will work on bioinformatics analysis and methods development in the context of tumour immunology.
They will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects in immuno-oncology with collaborators within and outside of the Peter Mac.
Key Requirements:
* PhD in a relevant scientific field (bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, or immunology) with subsequent training in bioinformatics
* Excellent academic record
* Previous experience in working in the field of immunology
* Advanced data analysis, data science, or statistical skills in a scientific context
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience with transcriptomics, single-cell data, or spatial analysis
* Proficiency/experience with specific single-cell analysis packages (Seurat/Scanpy)
* Experience with Linux OS
The candidate will design and apply analytical approaches to data from emerging high-throughput sequencing single cell sequencing to investigate the role of the immune system in cancer.
They will be based in either the Beavis laboratory at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre or the Waithman lab at the University of Western Australia.
