We are looking for a Leading Hand Scaffolder who’s ready to lead from the front — someone who can inspire a crew, uphold high standards, and deliver rock-solid results without compromising safety or team culture. At First Scaff, we don’t just build scaffolds — we build people, purpose, and possibility. We're problem-solvers at heart, specialising in complex access and height safety for industrial projects that others walk away from. Our clients trust us with their most critical work because they know we deliver — safely, efficiently, and with care.Who We AreAt First Scaff, we do scaffolding differently. We’re not the biggest — and we’re proud of that. From power stations and manufacturing plants to food-grade production facilities and major industrial shutdowns, we’re the go-to team when the job needs to be done right — the first time. But what truly sets us apart isn’t just the work we do — it’s how we treat our people while we do it.We believe that scaffolding is about more than ledgers and platforms — it’s about people, purpose, and pride in your craft. That’s why we put our team’s happiness, safety, and personal development at the core of everything we do. When you join First Scaff, you’re not just signing on for a job — you’re stepping into a career pathway with a company that backs you, grows with you, and genuinely values your input. And for our clients? This is First Scaff. What’s the opportunity? As a Leading Hand, you’ll play a pivotal role on-site — not just supervising scaffolders, but actively shaping how we work, how we grow, and how we deliver excellence to our clients and each other. You’ll be responsible for:Leading a team of scaffolders on industrial and construction sites across Albury/Wodonga and beyond.Overseeing the safe and efficient erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.Conducting and facilitating daily pre-starts, safety checks, and toolbox talks that actually matter.Collaborating with site supervisors and stakeholders to keep projects running smoothly and safely.Supporting junior team members and trainees — passing on skills, standards, and a mindset for success.Maintaining quality control through scaffold inspections and accurate record-keeping.What We’re Looking For:A confident leader who knows how to rally a team and keep energy high on site.A hands-on problem solver who finds smart, practical solutions that get results.Clear communicator who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments.Commitment to safety with a proactive focus on OHS and keeping the team and jobsite safe.Someone who lives the First Scaff values and leads by example, building a strong team culture.Scaffolding experience and High Risk Licence helps, but mindset matters more. Why First Scaff?Because we’re different.
