You will provide IT support for commonly used computing platforms, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, AV/video conferencing equipment, peripherals, software packages, and operating systems.Provide support and troubleshooting for general IT incidents and requests across a varied estate, including specialist teaching and/or research solutions and applications.Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues over multiple channels, including phone, email, and service desk, escalating issues to the appropriate operational IT teams as required.Adopt the agreed service delivery and support processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of solutions, applications, and IT support services.Ensure all procured assets are tracked in the asset management system, ensuring compliance for audit purposes.Provide support to maintain the in-venue audiovisual equipment across the Organisation.Deliver, set up, and configure desktop and workstation computers across the Organisation.Create supporting documentation of technical problems, error messages, troubleshooting steps, and action plans, and ensure the technical knowledge base is kept up to date.What you'll need to succeedProven experience in IT support roles.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with asset management systems and IT service delivery processes.Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and operational security.What you'll get in returnOpportunity to work as a field engineer and interact with users.6-month contract with potential for extension or permanency.Great culture and diversity.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
