The role will lead a new Priority Populations Analysis team in the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence, Population and Public Health Division, NSW Ministry of Health. For more information go to www.health.nsw.gov.au About this role The Manager, Priority Populations Data Analysis and Monitoring will lead the development of and be responsible for the delivery of the reporting, monitoring and analysis programs for priority populations. The role will lead development of reporting, monitoring and analysis strategies for key priority populations including users of public dental services. This will include the development of ongoing, regular public reporting as required by the Chief Health Officer and the development of regular internal reporting as required to support the Local Health Districts and relevant policy areas. The role will work closely with other staff across the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence and relevant policy areas including the Centre for Oral Health Strategy to manage a program of work to develop and maintain systems and processes to ingest, store and quality assure relevant data. It will explore the use of linked data and development of service delivery and linked data assets. The role will engage closely with LHDs and policy areas to understand any operational or policy changes that will influence the interpretation and use of the data. The role will provide leadership in the development and implementation of programs and projects to report, monitor and analyse priority populations and manage a team to provide high-level epidemiological and biostatistical advice and analytical expertise for national or state-wide projects involving priority populations. The role will also engage with other relevant branches from within the NSW Ministry of Health, external stakeholders such as educational institutions, and other government agencies including other jurisdictional and Commonwealth agencies to inform this work. This position will also provide timely, expert advice to the Executive Director and the Chief Health Officer and Deputy Secretary, Population and Public Health on issues and strategies related to priority populations. The position will also be responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of a number of ongoing projects relating to priority populations, requiring direct management of staff.
