We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team to lead our Wellbeing and Engagement Team to deliver activities and engagement programs. You might know this role traditionally as activities or leisure and lifestyle, but we are recognising the uniqueness of Glenview and have recently redesigned the role to align with our vision of “Life as you define it”.
You will have the unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team to design and deliver evidence-based programs at our Korongee Dementia Village.
A key focus will be on designing individualised programs and mentoring House Companions (carers) to work with the members of the Wellbeing and Engagement team to deliver exciting and innovative programs to our residents.
Our Korongee Dementia Village is an innovative model consisting of 12 houses of 8 residents in a suburban cul-de-sac setting, with features such as a vibrant café and community center.
The Wellbeing and Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for working with the broader care team to develop person-centered engagement care plans and to support the delivery of individualized and group programs.
Requirements
* Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or similar
* Experience in leading a team in Leisure and Lifestyle/Activities
* Experience in working with people living with Dementia, relevant qualifications highly regarded
* High level of computer skills
* Satisfactory National Police Check
* Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration with NDIS Endorsement
