They will be responsible for planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating non-technical training for the Aeromedical Crews as well as Flight Crew. The role supports the ongoing professional development of RFDS Crews by delivering training that aligns with regulatory requirements, organisational standards, and industry best practices.The role of a Training Academy Facilitator is to develop courseware and deliver training packages to Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) staff and external clients participating in RFDS's training services. This role sets high professional standards to impart the required competencies and skillset to meet RFDS and RFDS clients' training needs delivered through the Academy.Duties include:Provide subject matter expertise (SME) advice on ground school training activitiesSupport the design of new programs, providing ground school instruction on a wide range of aircraft subjects including Aircraft systems, operation procedures, emergency procedures, troubleshooting, navigation, aerodynamics, radio communications, CASA air regulations, and RFDS policiesConduct end-to-end pilot ground school training and assessmentDesign and develop training efficiencies using current training advancements, platforms, and trendsMaintain compliance and tracking CASA training standards and implementing syllabus amendments for Part 141 and future 142 OperationsProject planning and development for implementation of new training programs and initiativesDevelop and maintain training records Who are we looking for? You will focus on enhancing pilot competencies in areas such as leadership, communication, team collaboration, decision making, and human factors.To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:Substantial experience in Aviation Training including Human Factors and Non-Technical skillsCASA approved PMI or Cert 4 in Training & Assessment (Desirable)High level of technical writing and editing skillsDemonstrated situational leadership and logistic management abilityExcellent communication, organisational, and time management skillsExceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritise and make decisions to ensure operational outcomesAvailability to travel to RFDS bases around QLD to deliver training Why work for us?
