The RBA participates in international efforts to address the challenges facing the global economy and financial system. It does so through its membership of global and regional forums and its bilateral relationships with other central banks. The provision of technical assistance is also an important element of the RBA's relations with other central banks, particularly those in the Asia Pacific region.
As a Manager in International Policy & Engagement Section (IPE), you will be responsible for overseeing the RBA's engagement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the G20 and the Bank for International Settlements, including by representing the RBA at global forums and lead a diverse team to deliver high quality analysis and briefing material on international policy issues to the RBA' senior leadership. You will also oversee the RBA's financial relationship with the IMF. This role provides the right person with the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of International Department.
Your background
We are looking for a thoughtful leader with strong analytical,munication and organisational skills. Given the nature of the work in IPE, you will ideally have:
4. demonstrated ability tomunicate effectively to build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
5. demonstrated ability to judge what issues are most important and to guide others on how to navigate sensitive situations andplex analytical questions.
6. experience leading, guiding and developing individuals to effectively achieve oues.
7. demonstrated people leadership and influencing skills, and the ability to collaborate on work to produce the best oues for the Bank.
8. relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, or international relations, or equivalent experience.
Travel is required, as is occasionally working irregular hours, owing to the international aspect of this role. The successful applicant will also need to apply for and maintain a NV1 security clearance.
