Hays are working with a well known Local Government Organisation in their search for a Human Resources Business Partner to join them for 6 Months on a temporary basis.
Your new role
This role is based in Southern Tasmania and reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services. You'll be working autonomously to lead the HR function of the organisation as an experienced HR Generalist. The successful candidate for this role will be self-directed, have great communication skills and interpersonal skills, can prioritise tasks as required, meet deadlines and be the first point of contact for Human Resources within the organisation.
Candidates are required to have the ability to handle and manage recruitment, Training and Development, Onboarding, Policy, Performance management and have a deep understanding of contemporary HR Trends and Practices.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential for candidates to have previous work experience in a generalist role. Experience in the public sector or tertiary qualifications in Human Resources would be highly beneficial. Candidates are also required to have a current drivers' licence.
