This Perinatal community team provides a free and confidential specialist mental health assessment and treatment plan to support women who experience or are at risk of developing moderate to severe mental health symptoms, up until the infant is 12 months of age (postnatal period). We are a multidisciplinary team made up of a range of perinatal specialists, including Consultant Psychiatrist, Registrar/Career Medical Officer, and Perinatal Mental Health Clinicians (Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals - Social Worker/Occupational Therapist). You will need: Demonstrated knowledge and experience within Mental Health Services, with a demonstrated understanding of Perinatal and Infant Mental Health clinical practice. Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience of the range of psychiatric disorders which may occur in the perinatal period, and appropriate treatments. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the various factors, both antenatal and postnatal, which may affect an infant’s emotional, social, cognitive and behavioural development. Details of appointment: Fixed term, part time, day worker, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately seven (7) months. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration. Desirable criteria: Experience working in an Adult or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service. Further education in perinatal or infant mental health, or counselling. Current Driver’s Licence.
