Salary Range $136,083.17 per annum (Pro rata for Part Time) + 11.5% Super + Qualifications Allowance + 5 Weeks Annual Leave including option for a Novated Lease vehicle

The Opportunity
Melton City Council’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team is going through some exciting changes as the first standalone Maternal and Child Health business unit in Victoria in a community of rapid growth.Melton is developing and supporting employment pathways for MCH Nurses. Pivotal to our success is the Nurse Educator role who oversees student placements, MCH Student Employment Model nurses, the two-year graduate program and ongoing education for all of our nurses.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and evaluate programs to support nursing students, student MCHemployment model nurses and graduates in the transition from novice to independentpractitioner
* Utilise specialist knowledge and experience to promote a culture of research,quality improvement and educational excellence.
* Develop strategies to promote and attract MCH students, student MCH employment modelnurses and graduates.
* Mentor, coach and provide high-quality supervision for students, student MCH employmentmodel nurses and graduates, and provide advice or support as appropriate.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a Registered Midwife,and in addition to the above registrations, hold an accredited postgraduatedegree/diploma (or equivalent) in maternal and child health nursing.
* Possession of a recognised education qualification e.g. Certificate IV in Training andAssessment or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
* Demonstrated experience in providing clinical education programs and preceptorship ofstudents.
* Experience working in MCH nursing for a minimum of five years.
* Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
