Retail Buyer Position

Key Responsibilities:
* Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and meet customer demand.
* Create purchase orders, select reliable suppliers, and oversee the procurement process from order placement to product receipt.
* Conduct quality assessments of received goods, including packaging and expiration dates, to ensure company standards are met.
* Maintain industry awareness and consumer behavior knowledge to identify new product opportunities and expand product ranges.
* Analyse sales data to forecast future demand and plan purchasing accordingly.
* Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate agreements for cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
* Cultivate relationships with local and overseas suppliers to explore diverse product offerings and foster collaborative partnerships.
* Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies with merchandisers and sales teams.
* Utilize sales data to refine product promotions and pricing strategies, maximizing profitability.
* Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and inventory levels, identifying potential issues and offering strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in the retail sector, particularly in the food and beverage sector.
* Proven expertise in retail buying or procurement, demonstrating a strong grasp of inventory management principles.
* Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret sales data for informed purchasing decisions.
* Outstanding communication skills, fostering teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
