About the role
YH Support is seeking a Female Disability Support Worker [ early 20s ] to join our team in Craigieburn VIC, Kilmore VIC, Wallan VIC and surrounding areas. This is a casual role that will involve providing compassionate and high-quality care to our clients with disabilities. You will work closely with our clients to assist them with daily living activities and support their independence and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
* Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
* Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments
* Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities
* Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent relevant experience
* Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* A current driver's license and access to reliable transport
