About the role
The Mater Department of Dietetics and Foodservices has an exciting opportunity an experienced and highly motivated Dietitian to join their dynamic team on a fixed term, full-time basis until January 2026.
Dietitians at Mater Health provide comprehensive, high quality, evidence based Nutrition and Dietetics services to both adult and paediatric patients within Mater public and private hospitals. This position will be based at the South Brisbane campus.
Salary range: $38.25 - $57.80 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and +
What you’ll be doing
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, which will rotate through a range of clinical areas, whilst contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practice models of dietetic care. Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of nutrition care to adults and paediatrics across a range of clinical areas, including both public and private inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in professional mentoring and peer group supervision.
About you
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics service in a hospital setting and the ability to manage caseloads across a broad range of clinical areas
2. Commitment to continuous quality improvement, evidence based practice and professional development
3. Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and time management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The successful applicant must also have:
4. Minimum of one-year full time equivalent clinical experience
5. Accredited Practising Dietitian status
