About the Role
The support worker is responsible for the provision of person/family centred support services that empower people with disability to achieve their potential and live the life they choose. Working as a Support Worker you will help to enhance the independence and quality of life of our customers. You will assist customers to maintain their independence in a community setting and provide ongoing personal, social, rehabilitation and domestic support to people living in the community. This includes:
* Assisting with personal care needs - this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene and other personal needs.
* Providing transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required.
* Working in conjunction with and under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals to provide in-home and community exercise and rehabilitation support.
* Assisting with cooking, food preparation and meal planning, budgeting, managing correspondence, planning and organising tasks, domestic duties such as (but limited to) vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning.
In addition to this you will need to undertake and pass, as part of your Resilience Support Care, Competencies Training, and other mandatory training.

You will be a compassionate person with a great work ethic and a real desire to assist people of all ages in your community. It would also be required that you possess or are willing to obtain the following key skills and experience criteria:
* Cert lll in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
* Current Australian Drivers Licence.
* Current First Aid including CPR qualification
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Current Police Check (no older than 3 months)
* Willingness to undertake personal care (bathing, toileting & personal hygiene) services with customers.
* Willingness to undertake and ability to pass Resilience Support Clinical Care Core Competencies training and other mandatory training.
* Availability of a fully registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
* A caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively.
* Ability to be flexible in work hours and approach to meet the needs of our customers.
* Experience in the use of technology such as smart phones and computer programs.
