Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Elanora is an 81-bed facility located close to the beach, offering comfortable living as well as some of the best aged care facilities in the area.Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool who provide relief across both morning and afternoon shifts, as well as on weekends and public holidays.We are ideally looking for applicants who are happy to work across one or more of the following roles:Domestic AssistantLaundry AssistantTo be successful in this role, you will have experience in food preparation, cleaning or laundering practices and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.About YouPossess previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, Domestic Assistant / Cleaner or Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environmentHave a 'can do' attitude and a genuine compassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinationsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)The RolesEnsuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standardsEnsuring required ingredients are available dailyAssisting in the preparation and serving of mealsMaintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe conditionCollecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutleryDomestic AssistantEnsuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidyEnsuring supplies are stocked across the facilityLiaising with other employees to ensure the needs of our residents are metEnsuring residents' personal clothing is individually labelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items that require mendingLaundry AssistantEnsuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly and infection control practices are adhered toSorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibreLoading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryersSorting and folding clean and dry linenReporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacementWorking with BethanieMany of us work because we want to make a difference.
