Selection Criteria

Role
* Assist Sport and Physical Education staff with classes and groups within classes, and activity afternoons
* Assist in coaching and supervision of sporting teams
* Assist the POR Sport with administration of School Sport
* Assist classroom teachers with learning support for students with learning difficulties
* Attend camps and excursions in capacity as School Council approved staff member
* Assist with administration tasks in conducting the school sporting program
* Assist with transition of students across the college
* Maintaining sporting and outdoor education equipment
* Keeping Sport storeroom organised and stocked
* Assisting with bookings (transport and venue)
* Working and communicating effectively in the Physical Education and Activity Afternoon team
* Assist in developing the 2025 Sport & Recreation Trainee
Responsibilities
To assist the POR Sport Coordinator to promote student and staff involvement in all sporting activities and in the development of participation and success. To assist in the training of the Sport and Recreation trainee.

* Staff meetings

* School Calendar
* D2L student bulletin
General:
* Coaching sporting teams
* Recording sporting dates on the school calendar
* Team / individual nominations and co-ordination for Division, District and State Level entries
* Ensuring the oval, courts etc are set up for matches
* Ordering trophies, awards etc
* Gym booking sheet for training
* Laundering of all sporting clothing
* Manage sports storerooms and equipment
* Sporting photos, including competition and team
* Stocktake of materials and equipment
* Receiving deliveries, pass all invoices and delivery dockets on to Sports Co-ordinator
* Checking sport specific first aid kits including sunscreen
* Providing equipment for year level students to borrow during lunch and snack breaks
Carnivals:
* Booking venues
* Planning carnival running sheets, staff duties etc
* Running of carnivals on the day
* Equipment required for carnivals
* Presentations
* Selecting and organising Division and District sporting teams
Excursions:
* Entering attendance on SIMs
* Accompanying staff and students, Sport, Year Level and camps
* Distribution and collection of permission notes etc
* Accommodation and buses
* Equipment and uniforms
* Follow up / pack up / newsletter reports after excursions
Classes:
* Health and PE classes
* Literacy Intervention classes
* Activity afternoons
Training Requirements:
* Level 2 Workplace First Aid
* Anaphylaxis training
* Various computer software applications, including Sportstrak, SIMS, D2L
