Position Summary Top 10 mid tier As an Intermediate Accountant, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of client-facing duties, including preparing financial information and providing advice on financial matters. Your role will involve analysing financial data and preparing reports to maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities. You’ll receive strong support to help you grow as an Accountant, with a particular focus on assisting you through the CA program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards. Keep up to date with client, industry, and firm trends, as well as current financial issues. Prepare clear and concise work papers to document the work completed. Review financial statements and management accounts to ensure accuracy, removing any errors. Help identify and resolve accounting issues as they arise. Apply basic tax compliance procedures to meet all requirements. Support tax planning for clients. Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts. Complete necessary regulatory forms and ensure lodgement deadlines are met. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Essential: A degree in Business/Commerce with a major in Accounting. Desirable: Progress towards CA or an equivalent qualification. DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: Essential: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
