Plant includes operating bobcat, loader and trucks. This position also undertakes minor maintenance on machinery and some labouring.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitor, maintain and construct Shire infrastructure including footpaths, road signs, drainage, fencing, street furniture etc.Operate plant as required such as bobcat, loader, trucks etc.Undertake labouring tasks as required, carry out concreting and brick work.Grave internments and re-openings.This is a Permanent Full-Time position, working 85 hours over a 9 day fortnight.About youIn order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:Demonstrated experience in operation of plant items used by Council (such as bobcat, loader, truck, backhoe etc).Demonstrated experience and ability in construction and/or maintenance activities.'MR' class driver's licence.Ability to work in a team environment.BenefitsSalary: $78,361.79 per annum including overtime, plus superannuation.Permanent staff are entitled to:9 day fortnight5 weeks annual leave per yearMinimum of 11.5% superannuation employer contributionSuperannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of 5%Free access to the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre (pool & gym)Access to career development opportunitiesUniform allowanceFlexible work arrangementsEmployee wellness initiatives including Employee Assistance Program, skin checks and flu vaccinationsEarly submissions are encouraged as applications will be reviewed prior to the closing date and as such, the closing date is subject to change without notice.
