About Moonlight Cinemas
Australia’s favourite outdoor cinema is searching for an Assistant Venue Manager to lead operations of Moonlight Cinema Adelaide, located in the beautiful Botanic Park.
Moonlight Cinema is a summer tradition that combines the cinema experience with an outdoor festival atmosphere. For guests, it’s more than just movies, it’s an opportunity to kick back and enjoy summer with friends and family. Moonlight Cinema prides itself on respectfully activating green spaces and working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders including internal suppliers, Sponsors and Gardens and Parklands partners.
About the role
* Work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee daily operations, including set-up and pack-down
Support the Venue Manager with management of the bump-in and bump-out production schedules Support and leadership of approximately ~30 onsite crew, working alongside the Venue Manager Assist with staff recruitment, training and development Management of F&B operations (including ordering, invoice entry and stock control) Assist with the execution of sponsorship activations and deliverables Rostering and payroll management Accountability of AV operation (including but not limited to screen set up and content management) Implementation of management plans and WHS compliance Contact hours are primarily in the afternoon/evening (with the exception of mid shifts or day shifts allocated for administration) Full Time Fixed Term from mid-October 2024 to early-April 2025

Skills & experience
* Minimum of 1-year experience in a management/supervisor position
Previous experience in Food and Beverage and customer service Previous cinema or event management experience is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated experience leading a casual workforce Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards work Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to take ownership and problem solve Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Initiative and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills SA Drivers Licence
