Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of technical project / program management experience, or equivalent experience.
2. 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
3. Full lifecycle technical program management methodology (PMP, Prince 2, etc) experience planning and managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, people, risk and communications
4. Experience in organizational change management and business process improvement
5. Should have a mix of technical and program management skills and experience
6. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
7. Demonstrates deep subject matter expertise on key functional areas of mechanical, electrical, networking, construction, or building automation systems
8. 8+ years of program management / datacenter construction / network engineering experience; self-motivated, confident working at a senior executive level and comfortable working in a matrixed organization
9. 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
10. Professional PM certification, PMP, ESi, PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent
11. Demonstrably clear leadership skills and experience working with large, diverse teams
12. Understanding of business and financial objectives and plans accordingly
13. Exceptional executive level communication and engagement skills
14. Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment
15. Track record of coaching teams and mentoring others in planning, organizing and coordinating their work.
The ideal candidate possesses the following:
16. MBA or equivalent advanced degree
17. Experience applying Earned Value Management techniques to measure project performance
18. Experience managing large scale construction or network infrastructure projects
19. Exceptional problem identification and problem resolution skills
20. Understanding of contract language

21. Manage a portfolio of data center programs from initiation through closing, enhancing business value across different program delivery dimensions
22. Differentiate Microsoft data center delivery to create a competitive advantage by applying ‘Best in Class’ project and program management expertise
23. Communicate frequently and flawlessly in written and verbal form with both executive stakeholders and project teams.
24. Manage cross-functional, geographically dispersed project teams like networking, procurement, and operations, creating connection across dispersed teams, processes, and systems
25. Drive business results through a regimented focus on key performance indicators and business goals, promoting clarity and motivation to the project team to execute on time, under budget, while delivering high quality results with zero rework
26. Apply world-class technical and competitive ecosystem knowledge to respond to competitive challenges in data center delivery
27. Use experience and expertise to improve process and tools related to datacenter program delivery
28. Drive intelligence and automation in the datacenter delivery platform by using data to improve quality, delivery timelines, and cost performance, while reducing manual touches
29. Design and drive implementation of reporting by interfacing with business, engineering, finance, operations, and systems teams to provide actionable insights
30. Deliver on ambiguous projects with multiple stakeholders, unclear requirements and incomplete data
