Your new role
* Draft and design Sydney Water assets, including potable water, recycled water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
* Conduct mandatory Sydney Water inspections, including connections.
* Serve as the primary contact for all project-related matters involving developer works and accredited providers.
* Supervise construction activities.
* Coordinate with Sydney Water’s Asset Inspection Services (AIS) team regarding mandatory hold points and inspections.
* Collaborate with Sydney Water’s Networks (Service Delivery) team on shutdowns, temporary connections, and planned inspections.
* Prepare and submit bonding arrangement requests.
* Develop Flow Management and Flow Isolation Plans (FIFM plans).
* Complete and submit all Sydney Water applications.
* Mentor and manage junior team members.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in water service coordination or civil engineering.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and 12D experience is preferred.
* Knowledge of WSAA and Sydney Water’s Codes, Specifications, Policies, and Guidelines is necessary.
* Some or all of Sydney Water accreditations (FIFM, W1, W2, W3, S1, S2) and sewer water project experience is desired.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, organisational and time management abilities, and the capability to manage client expectations and coordinate with internal and external customers are crucial.
