Aspect Personnel is working with a leading water authority to recruit an experienced Development Engineer for a 12-month contract role.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in overseeing water infrastructure projects that support sustainable urban growth.
As a Development Engineer, You will be responsible for: Assessing and reviewing designs for new water infrastructure projects, including subdivisions and stormwater management strategies.
Providing technical recommendations on waterway design, flood resilience, and stormwater reuse.
Liaising with developers, councils, and key stakeholders to ensure projects meet policy and legislative requirements.
Supporting the preparation of reports, briefs, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Representing technical decisions in forums, including VCAT, as required.
As the ideal candidate you will have/be: A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
Experience with the Victorian Planning process, ideally within Victorian Local Government, water authorities or consultancy.
Proven ability to assess and approve development plans and manage statutory planning processes.
Knowledge of floodplain management, drainage, and stormwater engineering practices.
Familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
A valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
