Commercial and Financial Assurance Specialists
Project and Program Delivery
KPMG’s Project and Program Delivery team create project controls to analyse, assess and manage risk in all major projects and across all phases of the project lifecycle, from visioning to delivery.
We provide clients integrated project management, project assurance, project controls, project risk, project delivery, planning and design and, contract compliance advice using data-driven tools and methodologies and provide practical and reliable project support services.
Your Opportunity - Commercial and Financial Assurance Specialists (all levels)
Our Commercial and Financial Assurance team are leaders in delivering audit, assurance, control, and advisory services for major projects across the energy, water, and transport (road and rail) sectors nationally.
This team provides a wide range of services and work with or between both the client and the contractors delivering major infrastructure projects and our team come from the following backgrounds:
* Internal audit,
* Independent financial audit,
* Project assurance,
* Risk management,
* Contract assurance,
* Contracts Administration,
* Project Controls or,
* Project Cost Control.
Our team is embedded within KPMG’s Infrastructure, Asset & Places group, a national team of global infrastructure specialists. Our differentiator is our experience across all aspects of the infrastructure project life cycle and our close connection with KPMG’s wider specialised services, offering unique opportunities to work together on a broad range of clients and industries to further deepen and strengthen client relationships.
We also partner with industry professionals from our Deal Advisory group. These connections are a key and exciting component of the growth and learning opportunities within KPMG, with the ability to derive global industry insights, research, and market data as well leveraging client relationships in different geographies.
How are you extraordinary?
You will bring recent experience in delivering client-side, government or advisory contract audit, contract assurance or control services across infrastructure projects or capital-intensive industries and:
* You are passionate about giving project owners real-time, objective feedback on contractual compliance, financial control, cost management, project controls and other project risks.
* You can review programs of work, identify, and manage risks, support project procurement, understand approvals and can provide project updates to stakeholders.
* Understand and solve client problems and mitigating risks when delivering projects.

* Previous experience in a project environment, across all stages from concept to delivery, in complex infrastructure programs or capital-intensive industries.
* Tertiary qualifications, such as, Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Economics.
* The ability to prepare comprehensive reports and, present and engage with clients.
* The ability to maintain client relationships and build a strong team culture.
* Problem solving skills to tackle issues and reach conclusions.
* Experience could include an understanding of project schedules, costs estimates, finances systems and processes across all stages of a project lifecycle.
* Experience could include using industry planning, cost, and project management software systems.
