About the Role:
The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for two Clinician - Consultation and Liaison (YMH) (528884) vacancies. Please note these are also being advertised as Clinical Nurse Specialist - Consultation and Liaison (YMH) (528884d) and two positions will be filled on merit.
Role Overview:
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, experienced clinicians to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others. You will provide mental health clinical expertise, supportive advice, and clinical care to young people with complex mental health concerns in collaboration with mental health and paediatric services within the Emergency Department and inpatient facilities at the North West Regional Hospital.
This newly created role will provide treatment recommendations and specialist support to the Emergency Department staff, relevant inpatient unit staff, other health professionals, and community support organisations as required.
The Role Will Include:
* Providing a specialist triage, crisis, and clinical assessment service that supports right place, right time, and right care principles.
* Supporting the reduction of Emergency Department waiting times and admissions through the identification, negotiation, and initiation of alternative community-based supports.
* Promoting a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships with stakeholders.
* Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to team members as required.
Minimum Requirements:
* Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registration with the relevant National Board.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
Shift Details:
Multiple permanent full-time shift worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum, with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
