The HR Assistant reports to the HR Advisor to jointly oversee key Human Resources processes, such as Recruitment, Employee Recognition and Retention, HR and general administration, Policy Management and Review and Process Improvement. You will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including leadership team members, to provide HR support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general HR administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
* Maintain accurate and up to date employee records
* Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle – onboarding/offboarding
* Assist HR Advisor in ensuring that appropriate policies and procedures exist, are up to date and in line with relevant legislation
* Assist when required with payroll administration
* Creating and maintaining accurate and current job descriptions
* Assist in identifying training needs and developing training content
* Assisting the HR advisor when required in employee relation meetings
Skills & Experience Required:
* Between 1-3 years’ experience working in HR
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
* Familiarity with HR and Employment Law
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail
* Approachable and friendly with a high level of emotional intelligence
* Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
* Proficient in Microsoft suite and comfortable with picking up new systems/software
