Role Overview: We are seeking a talented, trend-focused, detail-oriented individual with a passion for beauty, to support the NPD/Buying team with the execution of NPD & core product development. This role is fast-paced, ever-changing, and requires a team member who is confident in self-managing and prioritizing tasks, working to tight deadlines, while maintaining a consistent level of productivity and output.
Key Responsibilities: Product Creation and Development: Assist the Buying and Product Development teams in creating and developing new products from start to finish, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.Supplier Relationships and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including weekly meetings and managing critical paths to ensure timely deliveries. Monitor and manage all supplier samples, keeping internal trackers updated and ensuring samples are labeled and presented with detailed information to the CEO in a timely manner.Shipment Organization: Coordinate all shipments with forwarders, from HOD to WH deliveries, ensuring smooth and timely logistics operations.Administrative Support: Execute administrative tasks and ad hoc responsibilities as assigned, always meeting deadlines. Assist the Buying team with essential administrative tasks, including product compliance, Leaping Bunny certification, and more.Internal Tracking and Data Management: Keep internal trackers such as Freight and Purchase Orders (POs) up to date. Manage and monitor all samples from suppliers, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Research and stay up to date with competitor and market trends, including pricing, offers, and new product launches. React to changes in demand and logistics to ensure the business stays competitive.Product and Brand Updates: Update product details and artwork in line with the latest brand guidelines to ensure accuracy before reorders. Ensure all necessary details are ready and aligned with brand expectations.Artwork and Product Design Collaboration: Collaborate with Buyers and NPD Managers on product artwork and design, providing feedback and insights to ensure alignment with company standards.Product Development Systems: Manage product development systems, including raising POs, item management, and building Bill of Materials (BOMs).NPD Meeting Support: Assist in New Product Development (NPD) meetings by taking detailed notes, following up on required actions, and ensuring clear deadlines and responsibilities.Quality Control & Customer Feedback: Perform ongoing analysis of products to ensure exceptional quality, paying close attention to customer feedback and online reviews to inform improvements.Professional Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and service in responding to all requests, ensuring that all internal and external interactions are smooth and efficient.Additional Responsibilities: Assist with any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the smooth functioning of the team and company.Ideal Candidate Requirements: Exceptional organisational skills paired with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.Proven experience in managing international freight logistics.Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities, with a track record of thriving in fast-paced environments.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.Skilled in multi-tasking, successfully managing multiple projects and brands simultaneously.Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Passionate about beauty with a deep interest in the industry.A team player with a friendly demeanor, embodying the collaborative spirit of our company culture.1+ years of experience in color cosmetics, skincare, or haircare is preferred.Availability to work 5 days a week from our office.Our Core Values: Excite Our Customer: We prioritize listening to our customers, allowing their needs to guide our decisions.
