What you will be doing:
We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses to join our team in Portland Tabulam Health Centre in Full Time or Part Time assignments.
Your role as a Registered Nurse will see you work collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams .
This imperative role will see you act as a role model by demonstrating behaviours and interacting with patients/ clients, their families/carers and colleagues that reflect NSW Health CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment and at all times maintain clear, concise contemporaneous patient clients / records that meet legislative requirement to ensure continuity of safe patient care.
You will ensure optimal outcomes for residents/patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care. The role will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all resident/patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the resident/patient/client undergoing specialised procedures. In addition, Registered Nurses also provide support and clinical preceptorship/mentoring to all staff and students.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
