Arborist - Port Philip
Citywide are currently recruiting for an experienced Arborist to join our City of Port Phillip tree contract based in Port Melbourne.
Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2.36pm

You will be joining an experienced team with a strong safety focus, undertaking programmed maintenance pruning work on some of Melbourne’s most prestigious trees. In this position you will be responsible for tree management and maintenance including pruning, tree removal, travel tower work (EWP), electrical line clearance, operating a chipper and stump removal.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform tree maintenance/removal works as required using both hand tools and chainsaws.
Pruning trees from both the ground and aerially using an elevated work platform (EWP).
Tree Watering
Perform maintenance as required such as stump grinding, weed management, mulching etc.
Regular chainsaw maintenance and pre-operational checks of all equipment.
Adherence to all Safe Work Procedures and Company policies.
Drive and maintain company vehicles and trucks, including heavy vehicles.
Assist in instructing and guiding other team members as directed.
Required Skills:
Certificate II ESI required
Certificate III in Arboriculture (Desirable)
Chainsaw Licence (Desirable)
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Current MR or HR Licence (Desirable)
Ability to work safely & promote safety in the workplace
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Experience in dealing with customers, clients and members of the general public.
Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training in required skills and licences
Attention to detail & problem solving skills
