Qualifications/Experience Required
* Proven experience in the rail industry, specifically in rolling stock;
* Possess Electrical/Mechanical Engineering tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in the field;
* Able to build a business opportunity pipeline;
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings;
* Able to develop productive and positive relationships within the industry;
* Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills;
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities and Objectives
1. Identify and report safety and environmental risks, hazards, and incidents;
2. Recognize and capitalize on opportunities to grow sales across all product lines (rolling stock, wayside monitoring equipment, and rail infrastructure);
3. In cooperation with the National Sales Manager, develop and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline that supports business targets;
4. Prepare customer cost estimates and proposals as required;
5. Prominently represent and project the business in all interactions;
6. Internally share relevant information to maximize opportunities and ensure customer requirements are met;
7. Support staff, customers, and suppliers as needed, including preparing/facilitating presentations and providing supporting materials and information for education to internal parties in all locations;
8. Liaise with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met and opportunities are not missed;
9. Actively participate in reviews, audits, and report improvement initiatives of all aspects of your business unit.
