About The RoleAs a Credit Analyst for BOQF Dealer at BOQ Group, you will play a crucial role in managing credit risk on small ticket consumer and commercial transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to assess credit risk on new business transactions, ensuring compliance with the company's credit policy. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with dealer networks, contributing to the growth of the bank by applying sound prudential lending theory. Your key accountabilities will include exercising Delegated Approval Authority (DAA), preparing and recommending submissions to relevant Credit/Risk Officers or Credit Committees, and providing timely turnaround of all applications within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Additionally, you will engage in credit process improvement initiatives, manage and enhance credit policies and scorecards, and provide phone support to the dealership network regarding credit decisions.About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have underwriting experience in a retail lending environment and demonstrated skills in consumer and commercial lending analysis.You possess logical reasoning skills, in-depth knowledge of contract policy procedures and legal compliance-related issues, and the ability to apply knowledge of credit matrix. You are aware of the indicators of financial distress, potential loss, and fraud, and have up-to-date knowledge of all relevant lending-related legislation. Your proven influencing, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills enable you to develop enduring relationships with diverse internal and external parties. You have a clear, balanced communication style and the ability to explain and rationalise credit decisions.
