These services include a state-of-the-art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Women's Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus.
Lismore Hospital is located in an area also known as the Rainbow Region, blessed with stunning waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities. Close to the Ballina & Byron Shires which include some of Australia's most famous surf breaks and holiday destinations.
Minimum Requirements: Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Physician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.Must meet the following physical requirements: Weight Limitation: The weight restriction for a Retrieval Medical Officer is 115kg in flight suit and boots, including what would usually be carried in pockets.Demonstrated current clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer Emergency Medicine at the role delineation of the service.Demonstrated recent leadership and management experience with the ability to provide leadership and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.Valid unrestricted driver's licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.Need more information?
