With a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and professional development, they are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their team. The Role As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and accounting functions within the business. You will play a pivotal role in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards improving financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislation. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheets and P&L accounts. Coordinate the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely and accurate tax filings. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing key insights and recommendations. Review and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and support decision-making. Assist with the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed. Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred). Proven experience (3 years) in a financial accounting role. Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP). Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to meet deadlines.
