You will join a dynamic Enterprise, in conjunction with Industry partners and Air Force, to directly support and deliver vital Defence capability in support of Australia’s national interests. HALSPO is located at Amberley, Queensland. The core role for these positions is to assist with the management of the KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport, C-17A Globemaster Heavy Lift Transport, Boeing Business Jet and Falcon 7X Special Purpose capability contracts. Other important and associated responsibilities include: Contract administration support; Provide support to monitor, assess and report on contractor performance; The review and assessment of supporting commercial documentation; A strong focus on financial management; Communication and relationship management across a wide variety of stakeholders including Air Mobility Group, Air Warfare Centre, and major Defence Industry partners; Provide support in the governance and assurance of the effective delivery of contract outcomes and deliverables; and Provide support to existing and future capability requirements including; support in developing statements of work, tender evaluation and contract administration. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. These fleets form the backbone of the Strategic Air Mobility capability within Defence and are utilised for roles ranging from humanitarian support to high-end operations.
