A great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take on responsibility and ownership of a large FMCG maintenance department!

This manufacturing business has delivered excellent results through a strong focus on reducing cost through better processes and driving plant reliability. To continue developing in this area and keep delivering great results, they are now recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join their site in North West Tasmania.
The role
Reporting into the Site Manager and sitting within the Site Leadership team, your responsibilities will include;
* Develop and implement the maintenance strategy across the site.
* Lead and develop the maintenance strategies and team within the plant, ensuring KPI’s around; OEE, machine reliability, uptime, stoppages and OH&S are adhered to.
* Developing the maintenance team in fault finding techniques, RCA, Fishbone Diagrams and other methodologies to facilitate a thorough and proactive maintenance culture.
* Life cycle management of site asset base, obsolescence and capital upgrades.
* Conducting in depth machine analysis to properly detect and predict machine issues before they arise.
* Take a positive/pro-active approach to the coaching, mentoring & training of workshop personnel with a view to developing them in their positions.
Your background
In order to be successful in this role, you will be:
* Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, being either mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or similar – Preferred.
* Must have experience working within fast paced manufacturing sector, ideally within the FMCG space.
* Extensive experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies to bring about a proactive and preventative maintenance culture.
* Formal qualifications/training in Root Cause Analysis techniques, as well as CI methodologies, including; 5S, Lean and/or Six Sigma.
* You will be a strong communicator, both verbal and written with excellent problem solving abilities.
