The successful candidate will be able to assist in guiding graduate-level staff within the Mechanical Services discipline stream.
The Role
You’ll join a growing and collaborative team, reporting to the Building Services unit Leader and with a focus on high-quality outcomes, your day-to-day role & responsibilities will include:
* Hands-on mechanical design for a range of projects
* Operating as a discipline engineer for small to medium-scale projects
* Providing design calculations, drawings and specifications
* Construction supervision stage of projects
* Working directly with clients and other professionals with minimal supervision
* Project Management role for small projects
* Supporting and training graduate engineers
* Supporting the firm’s compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirement
* Working with minimal supervision in your area of responsibility, accountability for defined parts of design projects
The Requirements
They are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer who is keen to help them shape a better world through work on exciting, challenging and socially beneficial building projects. As a successful candidate for this position, you’ll be able to demonstrate:
* Relevant engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* At least 6-10 years of design experience in the field of mechanical design engineering for buildings, ideally in a consulting environment
* Working towards Chartership with Engineers Australia, or other equivalent professional institution
* Revit skills and awareness of energy modelling would be advantageous
* Ability to assist in the design and delivery of mechanical and sustainable engineering solutions on projects and advise clients and collaborators
* Ability to facilitate and coordinate design activities, processes and other technical standards within the Mechanical Services discipline on projects
* Good planning, organisation skills, and communication skills
