Job Description
Opportunity: Are you looking to make a difference to the community? The Albany Regional Airport is looking for a safety minded and customer focused individual to take up the role of Airport Reporting Officer.
Reporting to the Airport Coordinator, this role will see you responsible for representing the City of Albany and ensuring the airport is safe for aircraft, seen as a gateway to the region and maintaining the airport as a professional, compliant and enjoyable place to work and visit.
This role is not associated with check in or baggage handling and is focused on the maintenance and development of the airport in line with the Airport Master Plan.
Albany Regional Airport is open 7 days per week. Shifts may fall in-between the hours of 05:00 to 20:30 Monday to Friday, 05:00 to 11:00 Saturday and 12:00 to 20:30 Sunday with applicable penalty rates.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing aerodrome safety inspections, equipment checks, management of wildlife, building and maintaining relationships with airport lessees and reporting information to management, the City and regulatory bodies as required.
Monitoring and management of contractors when airside.
Responding to airside emergencies.
Maintaining terminal security and undertaking minor building maintenance as required.
Administration of landing fees and charges.
Point of Sale transactions.
Acting as an Agent for Air BP by performing fuel quality checks and underwing refuelling of aircraft in strict accordance to set safety standards.
Performing minor airport maintenance duties and groundskeeping associated with runways and runway infrastructure.
Updating processes, procedures, manuals and other governance artifacts as required.
Assisting with training others and process improvement activities.
