About this role What G4S can offer you A great roster & no night shifts : 10-hour shifts | 8am - 6pm or 9am - 7pm | 76 hours a fortnight Work/life balance : More time off with 3-4 days on a week Comprehensive training : 4 weeks of orientation at our different clinics The role & team Join us as an Enrolled Nurse in our nurse-led clinic at Mount Gambier Prison, reporting to our Health Services Manager (Mardi) and working under the guidance of our Registered Nurses. You'll work within a supportive team of Nurses, our Medical Administration Officer and our part-time GP. We're looking for someone with great observational skills and the confidence to do systematic clinical assessments on prisoners under supervison and with support. In the role you will: Under supervision from our RNS, undertake clinical assessments on prisoners which could include taking blood, checking blood pressure, temperature checks, dipstick tests, checking bowel sounds, urinalysis, and more. Issue medication - Thursday is a particularly busy medication day onsite. Provide wound care & assist with work injuries. Receive and provide support from our onsite GP. Assist with unexpected events, such as reported chest pain. Remuneration Enrolled Nurses are paid under the Enrolled Nurse Award Level 4 rates below: Weekdays - $28.82 Saturdays - $43.23 Sundays - $50.44 What we're looking for A completed Diploma of Nursing Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) Previous nursing experience as a Enrolled Nurse Holder of professional indemnity insurance, or willing to get this before commencement (nurse unions provide this for members) Holder of first aid & CPR, or willing to get this before starting (we can pay for this and enrol you in a course) The recruitment process Applying online with your CV.
