Salary: Teacher, $82,317 - $119,246 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified, Mathematics Teacher who can work closely with students, colleagues, and the community to achieve the best possible outcomes for each and every student.
The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be an active contributor to the Mathematics learning area and should be reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improve educational outcomes for students. You will ideally possess a sound understanding of the Mathematics curriculum and courses; an ability to teach at an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level will be highly regarded. Knowledge and the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students in Mathematics should be evident in your practice.
The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element in the Mathematics learning area. The successful applicant should build positive relationships with their students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students, and utilise evidence-based decision-making skills within their practice.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Narrogin Senior High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2,500 (pa, gross - to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
