Randstad are excited to currently be partnering with a local government client in recruiting a fantastic Band 3 Business Support Officer. This opportunity is based North of Brisbane.
This position is contracted on a full-time basis, from upwards of 3 months with potential for further extension.
The ideal candidate will be a fast learner with demonstrated experience in administration, processing, correspondence, records and data management.
Your new role
As a band 3 Business Support Officer your duties will be tasks including but not limited to…
1. Providing quality and timely administration support to the Branch.
2. Coordinating branch financial reporting requirements.
3. Quality assurance of documentation (includes proof reading and formatting).
4. Supporting branch communication and engagement practices (for example, surveys, stakeholder meetings, etc)
5. Coordinate, manage and prioritise all incoming correspondence, via email and regular mail, while maintaining a high level of accuracy when scanning and processing the records.
6. Participate in business project teams to continually seek improvements to the way work is performed to support and maintain the business.
7. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders by providing professional and efficient business support services.
8. Any other administration of operational support staff as delegated by the Project Managers and or senior management
What will you need to be successful in this role

11. Excellent customer service and communication skills
12. Ability to analyse numerical and written information
13. Reliable and adaptable to respond to changes in workloads and priorities.
The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, confident and have demonstrated experience in the following areas…
14. Previous experience within a similar role
15. Public sector experience is considered in high regard
16. The ability to work in a high volume administrative role
17. Strong Customer Service Skills
18. Management of confidential and sensitive information
19. Data entry skills with the ability to quickly and accurately enter data into systems
20. High attention to detail across various administrative tasks
21. The ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders
22. High performance working in both autonomously and as part of a team
23. Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
24. Excellent punctuality and attendance
