About the role
Create and maintain a sales focused store culture and the delivery of profitable sales growth. Key responsibilities include:
8. Ensure execution of the sales focused strategy through implementing and embedding the coaching model and development framework
9. Actively drive, lead and shape a sales focused culture through performance management, sales leadership, recruitment/onboarding/retention, communication, talent development, reward & recognition
10. Ensure a consistent positive store and channel experience for the customer and effective resolution of customer complaints and queries
11. Manage and monitor financial performance through profitable sales, inventory management and controllable expenses, including labour management
12. Develop knowledge and set expectations to ensure all activities meet compliance and legislative requirements, with particular emphasis on Consumer Law and Safety
13. Ensure The Good Guys brand image is upheld to the highest quality including standards for Visual Merchandising, in-store marketing and employee presentation
14. Establish appropriate governance and management controls to ensure alignment of store activities with core policy and standard operating procedures
15. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and participate in community engagement and public relations activities
About you
16. Proven leadership of multi-site and/or large format retail business
17. Broad experience within retail with knowledge across multiple areas of a store such as sales, operations or merchandising
18. Strong people leadership skills and experience managing large, complex teams across sales, merchandise, customer service or operations
19. Commercially focused with experience managing P/L and a range of store metrics
20. Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualifications
21. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders across the business
