A leading property group focused on sustainable, community-driven housing and BTR is seeking a Facilities Manager (initial 6-month FTC) in Melbourne to support its growing portfolio.Through an innovative rent-to-own model, it creates affordable pathways to homeownership while fostering well-designed, connected neighbourhoods.The role ensures high-quality living environments and seamless operations across its communities.Key Responsibilities:Manage work orders, diagnose and repair issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and budgets.Prepare vacant units for new residents by conducting inspections, scheduling repairs, and ensuring quality completion.Maintain high cleanliness and appearance standards throughout the community.Supervise and inspect contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.Manage budgets, forecast financial needs, and maintain inventory within budgetary limits.Implement regular maintenance plans and ensure all statutory checks and safety inspections are up to date.Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management.Be on call for emergencies and resolve issues promptly.Provide excellent customer service, addressing resident requests and complaints efficiently.Promote a safety culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.Ensure operations adhere to company policies and legal requirements.Oversee maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.Identify and implement operational improvements.About You:Strong communication, management, and organisational skills.Proven FM experience within high-end residential assets, ideally BTR or Student Accommodation.Experience in building maintenance, project management, and risk assessments.Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is a plus.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject ManagementIndustriesFacilities Services and Housing and Community Development
