Job Description As the Senior Quality Assurance Officer you will work as part of a Quality Audit Team undertaking various quality sampling activities, utilising peer review processes, including reviewing assessment team reports, performance reports, accreditation decisions and observations of field-based practices. The Senior Quality Assurance Officer utilises various tools to collate and record the data and outcomes of the quality assurance activities and to support the drafting of evidence-based outcome and recommendation reports. You will: Conduct internal quality sampling activities that may include field-based observation of assessment teams’ practice and desk-based review of sampled assessment team reports and regulatory decisions. Provide timely, specific, and meaningful feedback that promote quality and/or consistency improvements. Collect and analyse findings and trended issues from quality sampling, prepare audit outcome reports that include improvement actions recommendations, and conduct follow up activities Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant quality assurance or quality sampling tools, guidance, and procedures. Develop audit plans and coordinate audit schedules Support third party audits that are complex where considerable judgement is requiredpplying strong communication and interpersonal skills and working constructively with internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvements. Your background will demonstrate: Diploma of Quality Auditing & Business (Compliance) or BSB50920, BSB50120 (essential) Bachelor’s degree in business or similar discipline is desirable Experience working with Defence or a Government agency is preferred A strong understand of legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, in particular ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, or be able to demonstrate a capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge. Demonstrated experience in critical analysis, data interpretation and conceptual skills with the ability to translate complex information into logical, concise, evidence-based reports and briefs in line with quality assurance requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills supporting an ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships and communicate with influence with internal stakeholders. Experience in quality management, continuous improvement, process design or process improvement with high level attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness in work undertaken. Demonstrated ability to respond positively to change, take responsibility for managing work initiatives and the ability to build capability and provide support to teams. Experience as a quality assessor is not essential, however assessor knowledge and experience are welcome.
